About

I’m Alex, a software engineer in Sheffield. By day I lead a remote platform engineering team at Octave (formerly Hexagon), building the infrastructure as code and CI/CD behind a multi-tenant SaaS cloud platform. The full story is on my CV.

Outside work I build my own things. The biggest is RightNow, a capacity-first productivity app that’s on the App Store and the web. I also make Minecraft content with Caffeine Addled Minds, 3D print things, and have a hexapod robot on the back burner.

This blog is where I write about all of that: DevOps, app development, 3D printing and productivity.
